Hey Green Drinkers,
Anyone want to save money, energy and the planet?
If so, then you’re in for a treat tonight at the first Green Drinks Dublin of 2009 which runs from 6pm to 9pm upstairs in the South William Bar, 52 South William Street, Dublin 2.
Often, the latest 'eco-friendly’ technologies are hard to find out about, appear complicated to understand and it can be difficult to see how we can actually use them on a daily basis.
So to combat this, in our quest for simple everyday things we can do to be greener, we have invited two guest speakers, from 19:00 – 19:20, to give us a brief insight into a potentially eco friendly way of travelling.
Colin Roche, Oxfam's Policy and Advocacy Coordinator, is going to share with us his views on the policy debate around the role of biofuels in the shift to a post-carbon age and Allen Holman from Ecocar is going to show us just how easy it is to convert a car engine to run on vegetable oil.
And even if cars aren’t your thing, if you’re in town, feel free to pop in for a drink, a delicious pie and a chat anytime from 18:00 to 21:00 tonight, Tuesday 3rd February upstairs in the South William Bar Dublin 2.
Green Drinks is a simple idea that's gone global. Once a month in 416 cities around the world people with an interest in green issues get together to chat, share ideas and raise a glass to a brighter future.
In Ireland, Green Drinks is organized by Leaf Living and Friends of the Earth.
We hope to see you there,
