Buy a live Christmas tree!
Buy a live Christmas tree with roots and soil. Plant it after the holidays and take care of it. If you plant it in your yard, you can decorate it for decades :)

How about decorating a tree in the garden with eco-friendly ornaments - do you need to bring a tree into the house?
What about some eco-friendly ornaments for your live Christmas tree?;-)

Yeh, that's brillian!! When go back to my country and have a yard, I'll absolutely do that :)
Oh, sorry, don't know for Dublin. I came up with the idea, because I saw them here in Sofia...
I guess that they will start to sell Christmas trees in a couple of weeks, so there will be somebody who can answer then.
Thanks for the interest!!!
I read on a webpage that Johnstown Garden Centre in Kildare sells Christmas trees which can be planted afterwards.
Or take a look at this website http://www.christmastrees.ie/
This is a company in Dublin 6 which also sells small potted trees.
You do see a few Christmas tree sellers with planted trees being sold along side their cut trees but they're not always prominent. I asked the guy selling in Stillorgan Shopping Centre last year and he said he would bring one up for me the next day.
I always get mine on Prussia street (across from Tesco) in Stoneybatter! They have small ones that work a treat!
