Electric Cookers - After use, put pot of water back on to heat it for washing up

If you have an electric cooker, why not when finished cooking (e.g. a pot of pasta) put the pot back onto the heat (Switched off at this stage) with some water in it to absorb the remaining heat to warm the water to wash the dishes later on! Saves using the hot tap or even turning on the immersion to heat water.
