Only water my plants at night

Water your plants at night is a great way to be more effective with your water. The sun evaporates much of the moisture away during the sunny part of the day. So hold off on watering till you get home, your plants (and water bill) will thank you!

I hate to say this but it is not good for your plants to water at night. It makes them more susceptible to mold and disease. But it is a good idea to water early in the morning before the sun gets too hot.

Doing it in the evening just after dinner is good...I get the kids involved they love it! but lots of splashes of water through the house as we carry the watering can through to the front garden...then we have to mop the floors as well.

  2. I heard that it is better to water in the early morning instead of at night because water that is not absorbed overnight cannot evaporate and can cause mold and fungus to grow. 2 answers

I was living in the desert, so, its probably a bit different for me. But if you live in a different climate then early morning would be better if you have the moisture to spare.
