Have a night-time flush ban and conserve my water use
35 litres of pure water is flushed down the toilet every day. By not flushing liquid waste from the toilet overnight you'll help your household get a better night's sleep and conserve water.
- If you’re an Edenbee already, log in now, otherwise you’ll need to register (it’s quick, easy and free).
-
like most people here, our little 'un means we do this anyway - except for number twos!
if it's yellow, let it mellow. if it's brown, flush it down! ;)
-
The same with me - having a little kid around the house makes funny things possible :)
Even my wife saves up water this way :D
Let's keep it up.
Unfortunately we don't have a garden :( -
Pee in a bucket or a commode and throw the urine over your compost heap. Save water and you do not waist those valuable phosphates and nitrates (urine is a sterile liquid).

Started doing this for the same reason as nicepaul. My daughter is a very light sleeper and the noise would wake her. The water savings are a bonus.
-
My incentive to do this wasn't Edenbee-related, but just that our en-suite toilet is only a wall's thickness from where our toddler sleeps. Although he's quite a good sleeper, I wouldn't want to risk waking him in the night - or worse, really early in the morning when he'd want to get up and start the day!
