Make my own compost

Compost no longer means having a heap of rotten vegetation in the corner of your garden. Get yourself a modern lidded compost bin to house your uncooked scraps, grass cuttings and tea bags. Once they have become lovely compost dig them over your garden soil for a happy healthy garden.

My family has always composted, people used to think we were mad but it has really come into fashion the last few years... It's brilliant though, you can compost any uncooked fruit or vegetable waste along with eggshells, teabags etc. Also if you've a full-blown heap rather than a neat little bin, don't throw away any old carpeting but put it on top of the heap to heat up the inside and make it compost faster
