Transporting food uses fuel and generates CO2 but you can use this by choosing local produce and not from the other side of the world. Look at the labels the next time you shop and buy from close to home.

Try and buy locally and as much as you can from suppliers.
I can't cut out meat, I'm just not ready for it unfortunately, but I'm eating red meat once a month and meat once a week.
Supermarkets are probably the biggest culprits here, so try to shop at a farm shop or local market, and ask questions about where the food is from.

Avoid the supermarket, get to the local farmer or subscribe to a veggie box. Cut down or even better, cut out meat.
